Now for the Fairies

In yesterday's very successful launch of the Fusion items it was great to see all the amazing samples, created by the design teams, with the incredibly beautiful artwork of Sheena Douglass.
She has another hit on her hands.

Tomorrow is the turn of Leann Chivers and Crafters Companion to launch  an exclusive product to the UK craft market. The Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio and accessories.

Today I would like to share with you some of the cards I made using the Shape Studio Tool and the Fairyopilis CD and Stamps from Crafters Companion which uses the original art work of Cecily Mary Barker.

This card features Snowdrop Fairy and was stamped onto Neenah card which is great for colouring with the Spectrum Noir pens.
The backing papers are from the CD and the plain frame is cut from Centura Pearl cardstock.

Daisy Fairy has the starring role on this card. She is printed onto Supersmooth paper from the decoupage section of the CD

The flower embellishments have all been completed using the Epiphany Round 14 Tool which enables you to colour coordinate any addition to your project.

The actual flowers were colour tinted using the Spectrum Noir pens

This lovely backing card is from the CD, but my printer will not always take card so I got round the problem by printing onto Crafters Companion Centura Pearl paper and then sticking it to card with Collall glue.

Here Blackthorn Fairy has been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. (I'm still learning the blending techniques with these brilliant pens, but practice makes perfect.)

The flower centres are punched
from the backing paper with the
Epiphany tool to provide a coordinated look.

Thank you for calling by, I'm off to make my Husband's birthday card.
A mans card....Hmmmm !  xxx

Today's the Day for Fusion.

Well today is the day we have been eagerly awaiting, Sheena Douglass's Fusion Pick of the Week launches on Create and Craft.

Here are a couple more cards which I made from the CD which forms part of the kit.

The first uses one of the lovely embellishments as the focal point, I embossed the tag with clear powder.

The second card uses the gorgeous Tulip Topper , I highlighted the edges of the petals with a versamark pen and white embossing powder. The corners of the backing paper were embossed with a folder and distressed with Tim Holtz ink.

I'm sure that this is going to be as big a hit for Sheena as previous Fusion releases. There are so many gorgeous images to use.

Thanks for calling by, Happy Crafting xx

My Favorite Sheena Topper

Today  I post a sneek peek of a card made with the CD that Sheena Douglass is launching tomorrow on Create and Craft .

The base of the card is made with Lilac Centura Pearl Card, the backing paper is one of the gorgeous backing papers on the CD. The heart topper which was my favorite, I surrounded with Lace and Silk Ribbon.

The Topper Sheet contains various sizes of the design which was so lovely that I used it on several cards.

On the card below I used a Versamark pen and Clear Detail Embossing Powder to highlight the flowers

I'm really looking forward to the shows tomorrow to see everyone's samples and of course
the lovely, funny and OH SO TALENTED SHEENA DOUGLASS.

ITS GOING TO BE FABULOUS, hope you can join us. xxx

Using the Epiphany Tool

This is the Epiphany Shape Studio, it is available in various shapes, Rounds, Hearts, Buttons and more.

This one is a half inch circle,

The paper slides into a slot on the side and the image you will cut is visable through the apeture.

Drop one of the buttons into the apeture, as long as you don't press it down you will still be able to reposition the image.

Once you are happy, push the button down onto the paper.
The image will now stay in place.
Close the lid, and then all you need to do is press down on the lid.

It was really easy and didn't require much pressure, alot easier than punches.

Turn the tool over and out drops your perfectly made button.

Below are a few more images of embellishments made using the Epiphany Craft Studio Tool

A Happy Accident!

Today I share this card from my samples with you.

It is created around a topper from a CD from Sheena Douglass which will be launched this Friday at 12noon on Create and Craft.

The card is made from Centura Pearl card and all the mats and layers are cut from Coordinations Whitewash card.

The happy accident occurred when I used a Spellbinder frame into a piece the Whitewash card I had previously cut into a scalloped oblong. Being frugal with crafty goodies I thought, this frame will just fit into that piece, Cut out the frame sanded it back to reveal the embossing. Cleared my plate of the left overs and they landed upside down on the card front and there you have it. A few flowers to trim a stamped and embossed greeting and 3 pearl. Job Done!
Hope you like it. xxx

Epiphany Felt Flowers

My second peek of the day is a card created using Mrs Tiggywinkle from the Beatrix Potter CD of the same name, and the Coordinating stamp.

The backing papers, ribbon strip and Frame were printed from the CD.

Mrs Tiggywinkle was stamped onto watercolour card with brown memento ink.
I wasn't sure if the Spectrum Noir pens would work on this paper but decided to have a go and I think it worked OK  (I should have used Neenah or the back of Centura Pearl but got a bit confused)

I was asked to incorporate some felt flowers from the Epiphany Crafts range of products that are due to launch on Create and Craft on Sunday into my designs along with the Shape Studio Bubbles so the flowers had 3 layers and I replaced to top one with a button of Mrs Tiggywinkle. It's so good to be able to tie your whole design together.

The card I made was 8x8 my favorite size.

and was completed using  the lovely inserts from the CD
                                              2  inserts 6x6 which I remounted onto  8x8 paper

(just thought this would have looked nice mounted onto the checked backing paper)
Never mind maybe next time!

Thanks for calling by.   Luv Margaret

I've had an Epithany!!!

AND I LOVE IT.

Well today my sneek peek is of a card made for the launch on Sunday of the Epiphany Crafts Shape Studio range of tools.
Crafters Companion have teamed up with an American company to bring this fab addition to our tool kits.

I was given the small circle to use, I used it to create coordinating centres for flowers, but on this card I used it to create the sentiment.
I printed from the Beatrix Potter CD " The Tale of Two Bad Mice" onto CC Printable card for the base.

Stamped this lovely image (and I HATE mice!!!!) onto Neenah Card and coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. (i'm still learning how to use these)

I used CC rub ons for the letters onto a plain border strip. (Rub ons in the Peter Rabbit A Winters Tale Cardmaking Kit) then used my EPIPHANY CRAFTS cutting tool and bubble caps to make the letters and I even found a little mouse to fit as well!

I used one of the borders from the CD and a piece of lace to complete the card.

Tomorrow I will have another card using the Sheena Douglass CD which launches Friday on Create and Craft.

What a fab hobby this is. Happy Crafting xxx

My First Design Team Sample

Today my first set of Crafters Companion Design Team samples were collected and I am nervous but excited.
The card I would like to share with you was made using designs by the amazing Sheena Douglass, on Friday she will be launching a CD on Create and Craft  along with several other fab products from her Fusion range.
It was so hard to chose which items to use, but I love Poppies so used the decoupage images.
This card is printed onto Centura Pearl Card, the gate is cut from Co-ordination card using the Ornemental Iron Cricut cartridge. The Poppies on the front were embossed with clear embossing powder and the butterfly was coated with CC Gold Spray and Sparkle.
The inside forms a normal A5 card with an insert.

The images on this CD are absolutely gorgeous so even if you don't want to enter the Paint Fusion World you can get the genuine article from Sheena's paint brushes right out of your printer.

Happy Crafting. xxxx
