Flower Quilling Dies

This is a sample of some of the things that you can make with the new quilling dies just released by Crafters Companion and appearing on Create and Craft.

They cut on all die cutting systems and cut through many different materials. Like felt which I used to create to create this hairband.

The flowers on the wall hanging below were cut from Adorable Scoreable Card and Posh wrapping paper.

I'm sure you will love playing with these dies to create beautiful flowers.

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since I posted but I have still been crafting as well as holidaying in Ireland. A beautiful country which we will certainly revisit.

On Wednesday Sara Davies will be launching 2 new boards which fit onto the Ultimate Pro. One is for making boxes, the other handbags.

I have had such fun working with these boards, I thought my favorite was the handbags  and I got quite carried away designing my own range of bags.

Then I started working with the box board and my imagination started buzzing.

The small boxes are really cute and quite quick to make. There are 3 shaped tops, but the flower very easily converts to a star as you can see on the white box. I think these would make lovely decorations for your Christmas tree, and what about making 24 for an advent decoration.

On the other side there is an oval and a heart box in 3 sizes, which can be made to any depth.

The boards are Pick of the Day on Wednesday. I'm sure you will love working with them.

Thanks for popping by.

Happy Crafting

Morehead CD and Stamps

Hi Everyone,
The design team have been working with some of the most adorable images from Morehead, shortly to be released on CD and Stamps by Crafters Companion.
It was so difficult to chose which image to share with you, but I decided to use the fabulous shaped cards for my sneek peek. I actually used two for this card and utilized a feature on my printer which I only discovered last week.

I was changing the paper preference on my printer to inkjet when I notice a Mirror function so I switched it on pressed print and out came a flipped image. So I couldn't wait to try it on the shaped card and it worked beautifully

This CD has some stunning new additions, borders which incorporate images, shaped image sentiments and a new range of embellishments. I know you will love them.

Crafters Companion are running a competition on the website   CLICK HERE   (you will have to log on to view the page.)
The competition will end at 10am on Friday 27th and the prize will be the new Morehead CD-ROM, plus the everyday decoupage kit and Christmas decoupage kit (total prize value over £50!).

So make sure you click the link above to enter.

Visit the other design team blogs for some amazing samples.

Day 2 of Mulberry Wood

Today my card uses some of the items from the Hunkydory card kit which will accompany the Pick of the Week CD.

There are some gorgeous toppers in this kit, the images are so cute but will be useful for so many people.

My husband used to work for Royal Mail so this image really appealed to me.

I have made a DL card, with one of the card blanks. It was a paler colour but I used Tim Holtz Red Barn distress ink to intensify the colour.

The topper I mounted onto Centura Pearl, then used Red Barn to colour the edge.

The Border, Tag and Sentiment were all in the kit, I just added a few snowflake sequins and diamonte for the centre.

Hope you have entered the blog hop if not CLICK HERE

If you have come from Caroline's blog you are hopping in the right direction.

From here you need to hop to Lis's Blog

I will be posting again tomorrow so pop back if you can.

Bye for now. xx

Yesterday was quite a day.
The kits to accompany Nigel May's launch were late arriving so basically we had a day to make samples to send to Nigel today.
What a good job that they are so easy to use and really good quality, just what we expect from Hunkydory.
So today I am Posting a Photo Gallery of the cards I made during my Crafting marathon.

So tomorrow evening on Ideal World Nigel will be launching his Pick of the Day at 9.0pm.

I have a feeling this will be very popular. xxx

Crafting into Christmas Stamps

There are some lovely stamp plates in Nigel's new range some contemporary some traditional.

My Sneek Peek is of a Snowman with his Xmas Tree.

I have combined Sakura Gelly roll pens with Spectrum Noirs.

As the ornaments on the tree are quite detailed I used the Sakura pens first and this acted as a resist when I coloured the tree with Spectrum Noir's

Same stamp but two different looks.

Tomorrow I think it will be decoupage, or maybe a card companion. Pop by to find out.

Click  HERE   for a chance to win the full range.

Instead is a White Christmas I'm dreaming of SUMMER !!!

Happy crafting.......Margaret. xxxx

A Festive Card from Nigel's CD

Today my card features one of the designs from the image sheet section.
This folder alone will give you a great selection of toppers in various designs and sizes.
This backing paper is really lovely and very festive.
The frame was cut with a Spellbinder Frame Die.

This is a great CD which will provide you will endless
options for your Christmas Crafting.

Day 2 of Crafting into Christmas

Today my card features one of the 3d Toppers.

This card uses 2 of the lovely backing papers on the CD. In the design set section I used the A5 insert
as the front of my card and cut an apeture to suspend the topper from.  Cut with my Cricut using the centre point feature.  I have put an extra internal piece of card covered with the red backing paper to create a section for the insert, it also gives stability for the apeture.

As a finishing touch I have added an organza bow.

Nigel May's Crafting into Christmas

Well Nigel has  done it again, next Tuesday he launches his second craft CD this time it's Crafting Into Christmas.
There are 2 CDs one  Contemporary and cute while the other is Traditional with a modern twist.
My first sneek peek is from the 2nd CD and uses a new section called funnily enough Postcards.

They print onto 1 page and could just be folded in half and stuck together but I thought a collage with a postcard to Santa might be a bit different.

June Crafters Companion Challenge

This month the challenge is themed around Embellishments.

I have used a Strawberry Kisses image. This little kitten looks so comfortable sleeping in this beautiful shoe. My embellishments are made from several layers of flowers. The centres are made from some solid flowers that I have had for years but were just the right colour and I am really pleased with the finished result.

The picture frame was cut from Coordinations card using the Elegant Edges Cricut cartridge.

We look forward to seeing your creations and Good Luck.
Click the link on the top righthand side to go to the challenge.
